Specialist I – Customer Service (CR)

About the role

Cencora is seeking a Specialist I to support accounting activities within its Customer Service team. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, handling reconciliations, and assisting with month‑end close processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support standard and non‑routine accounting tasks, including reconciliations, transaction support, record maintenance, and month‑end close.
• Prioritize daily work queues to meet SLAs, quality standards, and productivity targets.
• Review accounting data and documentation to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
• Follow up with internal stakeholders and approved external contacts to gather missing information.
• Maintain audit‑ready records in compliance with company policies.
• Resolve routine to moderately complex accounting issues and escalate when necessary.
• Support continuous improvement by updating job aids, templates, and work practices.

Required profile

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience; bookkeeping or accounting certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, AP/AR, general ledger support, reconciliations, or close support.
• Experience with internal controls and compliance in a financial environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial record‑keeping.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and reconcile transactions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and accounting systems.
