Sourcing Analyst II

About the role

The Sourcing Analyst II supports Boston Scientific’s global sourcing teams by turning data into actionable insights. Reporting to the Manager of Analytics and Operations in the Sourcing Center of Excellence, the analyst helps improve sourcing effectiveness across indirect, direct, and supplier diversity programs.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with sourcing and business stakeholders to develop, publish, and maintain metrics reports, scorecards, dashboards, and analytics solutions.
• Manage timely execution of recurring reporting, including savings tracking, spend management, sourcing performance, and supplier diversity.
• Support spend analytics activities such as taxonomy maintenance, data mapping, cleansing, supplier classification, and integration from multiple systems.
• Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and actionable insights that guide sourcing strategies.
• Identify and resolve reporting, process, and data integrity issues through root‑cause analysis and sustainable solutions.
• Provide guidance on best practices for reporting, analytics, and data governance.
• Conduct ad‑hoc analyses to support category management, sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and executive decision‑making.
• Perform market, supplier, industry, commodity, and category research to uncover sourcing opportunities.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and technical aptitude with the ability to translate data into business insights.
• Effective communication and relationship‑building skills across multiple stakeholder groups.

• Experience in reporting, data governance, and analytics within a sourcing or procurement environment.
