Applications Production Support Analyst – IT Operations

About the role

Citi Technology is looking for a motivated IT professional to join its Applications Support team in Costa Rica. The role focuses on maintaining the production environment for finance, risk, compliance and HR applications, providing 24x7 support in a follow‑the‑sun model.

Key responsibilities

• Provide front‑line technical support for Citi’s proprietary applications, including hands‑on investigation, incident management and root‑cause analysis.
• Champion stability initiatives such as improved monitoring, failover and resiliency to ensure high availability.
• Participate in disaster‑recovery testing, application releases, testing and post‑release checkouts.
• Develop and maintain technical support documentation and communicate effectively with global operations, technology and business partners.
• Interact with software vendors to deliver optimal solutions and assess risk in business decisions.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of experience in system analysis or applications support.
• Strong background with Unix/Linux environments and handling ETL jobs.
• Hands‑on experience supporting relational databases (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server) and writing complex SQL DML statements.
• Experience in Incident and Problem Management; familiarity with ServiceNow and ITIL is a plus.
• Knowledge of scheduling tools such as Autosys.
• Advanced English proficiency and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related engineering discipline.
