Software Engineer – Front End (TypeScript/React)

About the role

Backblaze is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Front End Engineering team. You will help build and evolve the core customer‑facing web applications that power identity, access control, and cloud storage management for millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using TypeScript and React.
• Implement frontend logic and backend‑for‑frontend services with NestJS and NextJS.
• Integrate with internal services via REST, gRPC, and other APIs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver features related to authentication, authorization, and resource management.
• Participate in technical design discussions and translate product requirements into engineering tasks.
• Write reliable, testable code with a focus on accessibility, performance, and security.
• Debug issues across the frontend stack and support production operations.
