Service Logistics Planning & Forecasting Specialist

About the role

The Service Logistics Planning & Forecasting Specialist ensures spare‑parts availability and optimises inventory to support global service operations. Acting as a subject‑matter expert, the role collaborates with Finance, IT, Operations and external partners to drive efficiency and service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Last Time Buy (LTB) models for long‑term service commitments.
• Build and validate forecasts for New Product Introductions (NPI).
• Align inventory strategies with business objectives and operational needs.
• Serve as SME for planning and forecasting systems, troubleshooting issues and defining enhancements.
• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate system changes.
• Evaluate and optimise Forward Stocking Location (FSL) networks.
• Improve reverse‑logistics processes, including returns, repairs and parts recovery.
• Collaborate with vendors and repair partners to increase service efficiency.
• Create and maintain process documentation and SOPs.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning accuracy, efficiency and scalability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in planning, forecasting, inventory management or service logistics.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid/remote environment.

Required skills

• SAP (ERP) and Oracle experience.
• Inventory planning, MRP and service parts management.
• Microsoft Office and Google Workspace proficiency.
• Forecasting tools such as Baxter Prophet.
• ERP integrations with 3PL systems.
• JIRA or similar project‑management tools.
