Procurement Management Specialist I

About the role

AbbVie is seeking a Specialist I in Procurement Management to support source‑to‑contract activities that align with business objectives and industry best practices. The role contributes to supplier diversity, sustainability, and continuous improvement within the procurement function.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with source‑to‑contract procurement processes in line with the category’s strategic vision.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies while supporting supplier diversity and sustainability initiatives.
• Drive supplier management activities, including lower‑risk negotiations and workshops, in accordance with the SRM strategy.
• Collaborate with Category Managers on risk mitigation plans and provide tactical input on supplier performance.
• Maintain excellence in contract execution, identifying and addressing inefficiencies in source‑to‑contract and requisition‑to‑pay processes.
• Execute continuous‑improvement projects initiated by the procurement services center.
• Develop personal procurement expertise following an individual learning path.
• Support team goals and ensure performance targets are met.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or at least three years of relevant experience.
• Previous experience in procurement activities, preferably covering source‑to‑contract, requisition‑to‑pay, and negotiation.
• Proficient English (B2 level or higher).
