Senior Supply Chain Project Engineer

About the role

Lutron Electronics is looking for a Senior Supply Chain Project Engineer to join its operations team in Cartago, Costa Rica. You will drive end‑to‑end process optimisation, support digitalisation initiatives and act as a change agent to improve delivery performance and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead continuous‑improvement projects across planning, logistics, purchasing and warehouse operations.
• Drive Lean initiatives and root‑cause analysis to enhance KPIs such as ETS, OTD, inventory accuracy and logistics cost.
• Support supply‑chain digitalisation, maximising SAP planning and execution functionalities.
• Benchmark and implement best practices to reduce waste and boost overall performance.
• Identify, qualify and localise suppliers in partnership with Procurement and Engineering.
• Develop business cases and cost‑benefit analyses for supplier transitions and operational improvements.
• Coach teams on Lean and problem‑solving methods and communicate progress to plant leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 2‑4 years of experience in supplier development, material qualification or related supply‑chain roles.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Spanish.
• Proven track record in process‑improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma or similar methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems; procurement or material‑management experience is a plus.
