Senior Software Engineer (Remote, Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our distributed team on a contract basis. You will work remotely, contributing expert‑level code, debugging complex issues, and shaping the technical direction of high‑impact projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced code samples, debugging strategies, and development insights across multiple languages.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software defects and performance bottlenecks.
• Design and implement robust new features with a focus on scalability and maintainability.
• Refactor and optimize legacy code to improve clarity, efficiency, and long‑term health of the codebase.
• Document technical reasoning and solution approaches to enhance AI training data quality.
• Review and validate peer‑contributed code for accuracy and clarity.

Required profile

• Significant hands‑on expertise in at least one of the listed programming languages.
• Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and core software engineering principles.
• Proven ability to debug complex systems and deliver effective performance optimizations.
• Experience modernizing large, legacy codebases.
• Strong written communication skills for clear technical documentation.
