Senior Software Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer at Amazing Charts, a division of Harris, you will lead the design and development of both legacy and modern systems that support clinical and billing workflows across multiple business verticals. You will mentor junior developers, champion best‑practice engineering, and help transition the platform to a cloud‑native architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and stabilize the existing VB6 desktop client, PHP backend services, and MySQL/MariaDB databases.
• Analyze complex clinical and billing business logic, identify performance bottlenecks, and propose pragmatic solutions.
• Develop new ASP.NET Core Web APIs to replace legacy PHP services and create a .NET intermediary layer for client compatibility.
• Migrate data from MySQL/MariaDB to SQL Server 2022 on Azure SQL Database and support Docker containerization.
• Maintain Sitecore‑based web components and work with Azure infrastructure for scaling, security, and deployment.
• Enforce security standards such as parameterized queries and TLS 1.2+, and support FHIR API development.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise‑grade software solutions.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand legacy business logic and system dependencies.
• Comfortable working in cross‑functional teams and mentoring junior engineers.
