Senior SAP BTP Engineer

About the role

First Factory is looking for a motivated Senior SAP BTP Engineer to join a dynamic, hybrid team. You will bridge high‑level cloud architecture with hands‑on backend development, delivering robust cloud‑native applications while ensuring system integration and architectural integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate directly with stakeholders and product owners to answer architectural, system integrity, and technical questions.
• Develop backend services, modify data, and deploy to cloud environments using Python, C#, or Java frameworks.
• Perform initial architectural analysis for scalability, troubleshoot SAP S/4HANA and non‑SAP data flows, and investigate system discrepancies.
• Manage development sprints, architectural spikes, and SLA‑driven ticket resolution in JIRA.
• Maintain technical documentation, API specifications, and governance processes in Confluence.
• Collaborate with Data Operations, Data Engineering, and senior stakeholders to identify integration needs and resolve complex bottlenecks.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of professional software development experience, including at least 3 years in a senior or tech‑lead role within the SAP ecosystem.
• Proven experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) on Cloud Foundry or Kyma, deploying scalable cloud‑native applications.
• Strong background in backend development using Python (FastAPI, Django) or equivalent expertise in C# (.NET Core) or Java (Spring Boot).
• Hands‑on experience with SAP Integration Suite (CPI) and advanced API concepts such as RESTful, OData, and microservices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage workflows and feature requests using Atlassian JIRA.
