Senior QA Engineer - Remote

About the role

Coforge is hiring a Senior QA Engineer to work remotely from Costa Rica. The role covers manual and automated testing of investor funding, payment processing, data pipelines, REST APIs and system integrations, within an Agile/Scrum team.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design and execute manual and automated tests for investor funding, payment processing, data pipelines, REST APIs and system integrations.
• Build and maintain automated test suites in Python (Pytest/Robot Framework) and Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript), integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Validate data accuracy and system performance with SQL queries, reconciliation, performance and load testing, and cross-browser and responsive testing.
• Use AI coding assistants and AI-driven testing tools to speed up test creation, generate test data, analyse results and support defect triage.

Required profile

• 5+ years of QA experience covering manual and automated software testing.
• Hands-on automation experience with Python (Pytest and/or Robot Framework).
• Playwright experience with TypeScript or JavaScript.
• 3+ years in Agile/Scrum teams, with strong communication skills and availability to work US Eastern business hours.
• Practical experience using AI tools in daily testing.

Required skills

• Strong SQL, including joins, subqueries and aggregations.
• REST API testing with Postman or code-based frameworks.
• CI/CD integration with GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Performance or load testing with JMeter, k6 or Locust.
• Responsive web testing across browsers and devices.

Preferred: fintech domain experience, custom AI agent development with LLM APIs, Jira and Confluence, file-based integrations (CSV, fixed-width, SFTP), and knowledge of financial data accuracy and compliance.
