Senior Python Software Engineer - AI

About the role

3Pillar is seeking a senior Python engineer to modernise its core AI‑native platform. You will own complex features, drive architectural decisions and help scale a cloud‑based system used by global enterprises.

Key responsibilities

• Write efficient, testable, secure, and scalable Python code for client‑facing components.
• Perform Software Composition Analysis (SCA) and lead remediation of security findings.
• Track status, report progress, and provide accurate estimations using project tools.
• Gather and validate requirements, produce and maintain technical documentation.
• Design and implement reliable AI and agentic workflows powered by large language models (LLMs), with strong observability.
• Partner with product and engineering leadership to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Identify, prioritise, and remediate technical debt to improve stability and developer velocity.
• Own projects from design through production launch and participate in code reviews.

Required profile

• Extensive professional experience in software engineering, focused on Python and distributed systems.
• Proven ability to deliver features end‑to‑end with minimal supervision.
• Deep understanding of system design, architecture, and solving ambiguous technical challenges.
• Experience managing Docker containers and orchestrating workloads with Kubernetes.
