Senior Python Data Engineer

About the role

3Pillar Global is seeking a Senior Python Data Engineer to design and operationalize data pipelines for scientific laboratory instruments. You will work on building robust parsers, data models, and visual analytics that enable our AI‑native products to deliver actionable insights for clients in finance, healthcare, media, and technology.

Key responsibilities

• Develop strategies for acquiring research data from laboratory instruments.
• Engineer custom file parsers for formats such as .xlsx.pdf.txt.raw.fid, and proprietary binaries.
• Architect scalable data models and end‑to‑end pipelines with comprehensive unit and integration tests.
• Perform comparative analysis of datasets to create reusable, extensible data model components.
• Create visualizations, reports, and interactive dashboards using Streamlit, Tableau, Jupyter Notebook, etc.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a related field.
• 3+ years of hands‑on Python and SQL development focused on data.
• Strong communication skills and ability to drive project delivery.
• Experience in scientific or biotech data environments is a plus.
• Passion for solving data problems with AI/LLM technologies.
