About the role
Join a high‑impact global technology environment where you will lead complex IT initiatives from start to finish. Based in Coyol, Alajuela, you will partner with diverse stakeholders, drive agile delivery, and ensure business outcomes are achieved on time, within scope and budget.
Key responsibilities
- Take full ownership of complex IT projects, from initiation through close‑down, ensuring delivery on time, scope, cost and quality.
- Initiate projects, mobilise cross‑functional teams and create detailed project plans with clearly assigned resources.
- Manage day‑to‑day execution, monitor performance and implement mitigation actions for risks and issues.
- Lead sprint and scrum planning, enable agile teams to self‑organise and deliver effectively.
- Maintain project scope through structured change‑control processes.
- Establish and track sprint velocity using use cases, stories and story points.
- Remove obstacles, support consensus on achievable outcomes and drive change implementation planning.
- Execute project close‑down activities, including final reporting, lessons learned and transition to operations.
- Manage contracts, performance KPIs, variations and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships as a trusted point of contact.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Operations or Information Technology.
- At least 8 years of senior IT project management experience in a global environment.
- Proven ability to deliver high‑risk projects using both predictive and agile methodologies.
- Experience in change management, contract management and stakeholder engagement.
- Professional certifications such as PMI‑PMP, PMI‑ACP or Scrum Master are preferred.
