Senior Project Leader / Technical Lead – TCO

About the role

Baxter is seeking a Senior Project Leader / Technical Lead for its Technical Cost Out (TCO) team. The role focuses on delivering material and component cost reductions, improving supply resilience, and enhancing margins through technical analysis and cross‑functional execution.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate cost‑reduction opportunities across materials, components, and processes at ITP sites.
• Conduct should‑cost, clean‑sheet, and teardown analyses to support category strategies.
• Lead multi‑functional teams through project planning, execution, and validation, including schedule creation and coordination of sample builds, trials, and testing.
• Partner with Procurement, R&D, Quality, Operations, and Suppliers to validate and implement cost‑optimization initiatives while maintaining product performance and regulatory compliance.
• Facilitate Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, and Cost Optimization events to generate and prioritize ideas.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading technical projects in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to perform structured cost analyses.
• Excellent collaboration skills across Procurement, R&D, Quality, Operations, and external suppliers.
• Ability to manage complex schedules and drive projects to completion.

Required skills

• Technical cost analysis (should‑cost, clean‑sheet, teardown).
• Specification and material substitution expertise.
• Project planning and execution in a multi‑functional team setting.
