Senior Production Supervisor - Shift A (Mon-Fri 6:00am-3:36pm)

About the role

Viant Medical is hiring a Senior Production Supervisor for its Heredia site in Zona Franca Metropolitana. The supervisor oversees manufacturing employees in a molding and/or assembly environment, planning and assigning work, supervising staff and monitoring the production floor. The shift runs Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 3:36pm.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure SOPs and GMPs are followed according to Viant Medical quality standards, and monitor the line for scrap and production variation
• Notify the VST of issues causing variation or delays, and assist in training new production employees
• Prioritize work in the clean room and assist Engineering with new product development and launch
• Support audits and new customer visits, and lead production meetings to share KPIs, priorities and risks
• Perform safety audits, schedule overtime, run the shift payroll report and handle payroll discrepancies
• Work with the HR department on personnel conflicts and with the Line Leader to balance personnel to workstations and machines per BOM recommendations
• Manage the Production Leader and Production Control Assistant, train personnel safely, and mentor IDLs and DLs
• Coordinate improvement projects with other production supervisors and resolve conflicts among team members
• Write performance appraisals on time and keep the organization's vision and values in mind

Required profile

• 5+ years of supervisory experience; 1 year of experience in the same field desired
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration or a related discipline; Master's degree or certification in project management, lean manufacturing or a related discipline preferred
• Intermediate written and oral English
• Clean room experience

• Regulatory knowledge: FDA, ISO 13485:2003 and CFR 820 CGMPs
• Medium knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
• Lean tools and robot automation system knowledge
• Scientific molding principles
• Project management experience
