Senior Production Engineer – Shift B

About the role

The Senior Production Engineer (Shift B) will lead manufacturing operations in a medical‑device environment, ensuring patient safety, product quality and continuous improvement. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, drive process excellence and support a safe, engaging workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Control manufacturing processes in compliance with quality standards and documented procedures.
• Lead Tier 2 meetings, participate in Tier 3, and attend daily Gemba meetings to monitor metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
• Achieve Key Process Indicators and make decisions within the organization’s framework.
• Generate and implement waste‑elimination ideas and resource‑saving initiatives.
• Facilitate meetings and activities that support daily, weekly and monthly production goals.
• Ensure staff receive up‑to‑date regulatory and quality training.
• Support cross‑departmental projects related to manufacturing areas.
• Promote Terumo’s values, foster a positive work environment and recognize employee achievements.
• Apply modern manufacturing and operational‑excellence concepts for continuous improvement.
• Lead problem‑solving efforts for quality events and other manufacturing challenges.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in medical‑industry manufacturing processes.
• At least 4 years of personnel‑management experience.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in English (both oral and written).
