Senior Maintenance Manager – Equipment Operations

About the role

AbbVie is seeking a Senior Maintenance Manager to lead equipment reliability and operational excellence across its manufacturing site. The role drives safety, compliance, and continuous improvement while ensuring high equipment uptime for life‑changing medical devices.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure optimal availability of production equipment.
• Oversee maintenance, tool shop, industrial design, and precision workshop teams.
• Manage activities within approved budgets.
• Lead technical improvement initiatives and cross‑plant technology transfer projects.
• Analyze historical data with Lean tools, provide CAPA and engineering support.
• Maintain compliance with corporate and legal EHS standards.
• Champion EHS performance and participate in the Energy Management System.
• Drive performance of engineering key indicators in the Maintenance Excellence Program.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electro‑mechanical, Electronics engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum seven years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor, Senior Process Engineer, or similar in the medical device or high‑volume manufacturing industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of high‑volume manufacturing equipment.
