About the role
Boston Consulting Group is seeking a Senior IT Platform Engineer to lead the design and delivery of a cloud‑native microservices platform. Based in Costa Rica, you will collaborate with global development teams and senior stakeholders to drive platform adoption and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Architect, build, and operate a scalable microservices platform on AWS.
- Gather feedback from platform consumers and implement enhancements following DevSecOps best practices.
- Present and evangelize the platform to senior business and technology leaders.
- Collaborate with offshore development teams in New Delhi and other locations, fostering a consensus‑driven culture.
- Hands‑on implementation using Kubernetes, Docker, Python, Terraform, and related tools.
Required profile
- 10+ years of experience with AWS and microservices‑based architectures.
- 4+ years of hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- 8+ years using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or Octopus.
- 4+ years with infrastructure‑as‑code tools like Terraform and Packer.
- Proven ability to influence technical direction, articulate risks, and build strong relationships across distributed teams.
- Experience working in Agile environments and with offshore teams.
