Senior IT Administrator

About the role

The Senior IT Administrator joins CBRE & Port Tech to manage daily IT operations for a specific site. This role provides Level I & II support, oversees the local area network, and ensures reliable backup and phone services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily LAN operations and guide technicians at other locations.
• Install and upgrade Microsoft Windows operating systems and business applications.
• Troubleshoot complex desktop virus and malware issues.
• Maintain daily network file backups and oversee backup compliance across sites.
• Administer software and hardware warranties and service contracts.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware/software problems with vendor assistance.
• Assist in purchasing new computer equipment and peripherals.
• Perform software and hardware inventory and basic phone/voicemail administration.
• Provide informal technical guidance and training to coworkers.

Required profile

• Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school.
• 3‑4 years of related IT experience.
• A+ PC Technician certification; Network+ and Dell hardware certifications are a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and analytical abilities.
• Customer‑focused attitude with the ability to present information clearly.
• Basic financial analysis skills and understanding of financial terms.
