Senior Information Technology Auditor

About the role

This remote position joins the Internal IT Controls team as a senior member of the Internal Audit function. You will lead complex IT audit engagements covering cybersecurity, SOX compliance, system implementations, data governance, and technology risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and document SOX ITGC testing (user access, privileged access, change management, system operations, data/interface controls).
• Conduct control walkthroughs, evaluate effectiveness, and maintain SOX documentation (RCMs, narratives, test scripts, workpapers).
• Support SOX risk assessments and identify technology risks affecting financial reporting.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert for assigned applications, coordinating audit requests, evidence collection, testing, and remediation.
• Partner with executive stakeholders, Information Security, Compliance, Legal, and Engineering teams to evaluate risks and strengthen controls.
• Mentor junior auditors, contribute to audit strategy, and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 3+ years of IT audit, IT risk, internal audit, or technology compliance experience in large enterprises.
• 3+ years performing end‑to‑end IT audits, including planning, execution, reporting, and remediation validation.
• Strong experience with SOX ITGCs, application controls, cybersecurity controls, and risk‑based auditing frameworks.
• Extensive knowledge of SOX, NIST, COBIT, ISO 27001, and/or FFIEC frameworks.
• Fluent English and ability to work remotely.
