Senior Full Stack Developer

About the role

Coforge is hiring a Senior Full Stack Developer in San José, Costa Rica, working in a hybrid arrangement of 2-3 days per week on site. The role covers secure backend services, REST APIs, database management, event streaming and CI/CD deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain secure backend services using Java 11, Spring Boot 2 and microservices architecture.
• Design and implement secure REST APIs and work with frontend developers to integrate user-facing solutions with Angular or other modern component-based frameworks.
• Manage and optimise Oracle relational databases and MongoDB NoSQL databases, and implement Apache Kafka for real-time event streaming.
• Support CI/CD processes and Kubernetes-based deployments while applying software development and digital commerce best practices.

Required profile

• 7+ years of relevant software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork and attention-to-detail skills.

Required skills

• Java 11 and Spring Boot 2
• Microservices architecture and secure REST API design
• Angular or another modern component-based UI framework
• Oracle and MongoDB
• Apache Kafka, Git, Kubernetes and CI/CD tools

Preferred: experience in B2B and B2C digital commerce, practical exposure to AARI, knowledge of commerce technologies and best practices, and proven delivery of high-quality software in complex environments.
