Senior FreeCAD Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a senior mechanical engineer with deep expertise in FreeCAD to work remotely on a contract basis. You will create and validate parametric CAD models that meet precise project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Create, modify, and validate detailed parametric CAD models in FreeCAD.
• Develop and optimize mechanical assemblies using best‑practice design methods.
• Apply GD&T and DFM principles to ensure manufacturability and quality.
• Generate technical drawings and documentation for engineering review.
• Conduct QA reviews of CAD models and drawings, identifying and resolving issues.
• Use Python scripting to automate repetitive modeling tasks.

Required profile

• Strong experience in mechanical, product, or industrial engineering with a focus on parametric CAD.
• Advanced proficiency in FreeCAD or an equivalent parametric CAD platform.
• Solid knowledge of GD&T and DFM best practices.
• Proven ability to produce comprehensive technical drawings for manufacturing.
• Experience performing engineering QA and verifying model compliance.
