Senior Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to act as the primary technical liaison for e‑commerce clients. You will translate complex requirements into high‑performance solutions, ensuring site stability and optimal performance across Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud and custom storefronts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review, and debug edge‑side code to improve caching, localization, and device performance.
• Monitor client implementations, quickly identifying and resolving technical anomalies.
• Use browser DevTools and internal APIs to diagnose latency, personalization, and CDN issues in real‑time production.
• Serve as the main technical contact for assigned merchant accounts, facilitating clear communication and issue resolution.
• Create documentation, tools, and processes that streamline onboarding and ongoing support.
• Provide field insights to product teams to influence feature enhancements and roadmap decisions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on software, web performance, or infrastructure engineering experience.
• At least 2 years of direct customer‑facing technical work.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex production issues using structured, evidence‑based methods.
• Experience owning end‑to‑end launches, migrations, and post‑launch monitoring.
• Strong communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
