About the role
Sysco is seeking a Senior Finance Operations Manager to lead multiple Finance Operations teams within its Global Support Center in Costa Rica. The role combines operational leadership with strategic finance capabilities, ensuring high‑quality service across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Record‑to‑Report processes.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop high‑performing AP, AR, and RTR teams while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Oversee end‑to‑end finance operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, compliance, and performance against KPIs and SLAs.
- Standardize processes, implement best practices, and drive month‑end close, reporting, and operational finance activities.
- Act as a strategic partner to senior stakeholders, translating financial data into actionable insights.
- Identify, champion, and implement process‑improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), strengthening governance and audit readiness.
- Provide clear direction and decision‑making in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment.
Required profile
- Strong people‑leadership experience in shared services finance operations.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate complex, ambiguous settings.
- Demonstrated track record of driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
