Senior Environmental Health & Safety Technician

About the role

Edwards Lifesciences is seeking a Senior Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Technician to support its clean‑room medical device manufacturing operations. The role focuses on complex EHS maintenance, testing, and compliance activities while working a defined evening shift.

Key responsibilities

• Perform complex EHS maintenance and testing on fire‑fighting systems, emergency doors, emergency lighting, chemical response kits, signage, and labels.
• Execute preventive maintenance for sprinkler systems, eye‑wash showers, fire detection equipment, and related safety infrastructure.
• Verify contractor compliance with safety rules, issue and sign work permits, and conduct daily safety inspections in clean‑room (CR) buildings.
• Provide training and guidance on EHS guidelines to contractors, visitors, and employees as needed.
• Support recycling reception processes, maintain documentation, recommend improvements, and track compliance metrics.
• Carry out additional incidental duties related to EHS operations.

Required profile

• High School Diploma; technical degree in Occupational Health, Workplace Health, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) processes, preferably in medical device, electronics, pharmaceutical, or food industries.
• Intermediate level of English with the ability to read and comprehend safety documentation.
• Availability to work Shift B (Monday‑Friday, 3:30 pm – 10:30 pm).
• Knowledge of Edwards EHS and Quality guidelines for clean‑room manufacturing is a plus.
