Senior Cloud Infrastructure / DevOps Engineer

About the role

Software Mind is recruiting a Senior Cloud Infrastructure / DevOps Engineer for its Production Engineering team at a leading US fintech whose personal-finance platform helps millions of consumers make smarter money decisions. The role is hands-on, working alongside Security to standardize AWS infrastructure, build reusable Terraform and CDK modules, and modernize CI/CD pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Work mainly on planned infrastructure projects, mixing troubleshooting with collaboration across engineering teams.
• Take part in a daily stand-up to align on priorities, blockers and ongoing work.
• Drive initiatives such as infrastructure standardization, reusable AWS CDK constructs and Terraform modules, improved shared CI/CD workflows, cloud migrations, security improvements and observability.
• Own DNS management and the Cloudflare platform, which protects and manages traffic to the applications.
• Handle ad hoc requests from the developer support queue, such as DNS resolution, networking, proxies, IAM permissions and other infrastructure issues.
• Occasionally help development teams design AWS architectures and choose the right services.
• Balance unexpected requests while keeping planned work moving forward, and collaborate with Security and other teams so infrastructure is reliable, secure and easy for developers to use.

Required profile

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and services, including IAM, networking, compute and databases.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
• Experience troubleshooting cloud infrastructure, networking and production issues.
• Familiarity with observability, monitoring and logging practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating with different engineering teams.

Required skills

• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and AWS CDK.
• Nice to have: Vercel or similar deployment platforms, Kubernetes and EKS, reusable infrastructure modules or self-service tooling, cloud migration experience, AWS cost optimization knowledge, and Agile experience.
