Senior Backend Developer

About the role

Coforge is hiring a Senior Backend Developer for a remote position based in Costa Rica. The role focuses on backend development and API integrations with other SaaS services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain robust backend systems and APIs.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Optimize applications for speed and scalability.
• Implement security and data protection measures.
• Manage and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Take part in code reviews and share knowledge within the team.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues promptly.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Required profile

• Proven experience in backend development with languages such as Java, Python, Ruby or Node.js.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
• Experience with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.

Preferred skills

• Cloud services such as AWS.
• Microservices architecture.
• Agile methodologies and project management tools.
• Performance tuning of backend systems.
