Senior Android Developer (Remote, Costa Rica)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Android Developer to join our team remotely from Costa Rica. You will work in a fast‑paced, start‑up‑like environment while benefiting from the processes of an established company. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality Android applications using modern architectures and tools.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of increasingly complex projects, from design through deployment.
• Participate in the full application lifecycle: concept, design, build, test, release, and monitoring.
• Write clean, maintainable Kotlin code and incorporate feedback from code reviews.
• Lead and mentor junior developers, fostering best practices and collaboration.
• Prioritize tasks, evaluate assignments, and solve problems under tight deadlines.
• Collaborate on API contracts with multiple stakeholders and ensure documentation.
• Prototype new technologies and contribute to cross‑team engineering initiatives such as build pipelines and code review improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 6+ years of proven Android development experience.
• Deep understanding of the Android framework and Android UX guidelines.
• Strong experience with MVVM architecture, Jetpack Compose, and Jetpack navigation/transition components.
• Proficiency in Kotlin for new development and solid Java background.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an Agile team.
