Senior Analyst, Destination Insights

About the role

Granicus is looking for a customer-facing Senior Data Insights Analyst for its Destination Insights team, which partners with Destination Marketing Organizations, Convention & Visitor Bureaus and other destination stakeholders to deliver analytics solutions and strategic guidance. The role combines business analysis, analytics, reporting and data visualization to turn complex data into actionable recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead customers and stakeholders in defining business objectives, KPIs and reporting needs, and design data-driven solutions
• Design, develop and maintain dashboards, reports, KPI frameworks and other repeatable reporting solutions
• Analyze complex datasets to find trends and opportunities and turn them into clear recommendations
• Work with Data and Engineering teams on data requirements, business rules, KPI calculations and reporting accuracy
• Validate data quality, business logic and reporting results
• Present findings and recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders and support solution adoption
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, Sales, Implementation and Client Success teams
• Contribute to analytics standards, documentation and best practices, and turn findings into presentations for executive audiences

Required profile

• 5-8 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence or data analysis, including direct work with customers or stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in analytics, statistics, mathematics, business or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience presenting analytical findings to customers, executives or senior stakeholders
• Experience leading requirements gathering, stakeholder discovery and KPI definition workshops
• Ideal: tourism or hospitality experience, and familiarity with Simpleview CRM and event/meeting technology

Required skills

• Advanced SQL for querying large datasets and validating business logic
• Relational databases, cloud data warehouses and data pipelines
• Dashboards and visualizations in Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio or similar
• Data quality management and troubleshooting data inconsistencies
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
