Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant is a subject‑matter expert within the Record‑to‑Report (R2R) function, handling high‑complexity accounting processes and supporting regional and global initiatives. The role combines advanced judgment, deep process knowledge, and leadership of junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and review complex reconciliations and month‑end close activities.
• Prepare and review financial reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate audit activities, respond to auditor inquiries, and ensure audit readiness.
• Coach and mentor junior and intermediate analysts.
• Lead workstreams for process improvement or transformation initiatives.
• Act as deputy to the Team Leader during peak periods, ensuring continuity of operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination.
• Minimum 4 + years of progressive experience in General Accounting, including exposure to complex, high‑impact accounting areas and audits.
• Experience in a Shared Service Center is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and advanced analytical and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Effective communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Demonstrated mentoring and training capabilities.
