Senior Accountant – GA Inventory

About the role

The GA Inventory Senior Accountant will support Pfizer’s global finance operations by ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with US GAAP, and providing critical analysis for internal and external stakeholders. This role combines detailed accounting work with process improvement initiatives to help deliver medicines worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze financial data, prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and various accounting schedules.
• Maintain company accounts and financial records, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to accounting and auditing policies.
• Update journals, ledgers, and other transaction records, verify data accuracy, and generate detailed reports.
• Manage data entry activities within the accounting system and support month‑end close processes.
• Engage with customers and business partners on complex accounting matters, providing analysis for external accountants and audits.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and Sarbanes‑Oxley internal control documentation.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects and perform statutory analytical reviews.
• Support acquisitions, divestitures, and special projects as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma with 8+ years experience, associate’s degree with 6+ years, BA/BS with 2+ years, or MBA/MS with relevant experience.
• Strong grasp of US GAAP and experience managing multi‑national accounting operations.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
