Security Consultant II

About the role

Join Akamai’s Professional Services team to deliver cutting‑edge web security solutions and help protect millions of digital experiences. As a Security Consultant II you will act as a trusted advisor, guiding customers through integration, testing and operational readiness of Prolexic DDoS services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead integration and project management of the Prolexic DDoS service for customers.
• Support value confirmation by ensuring successful integration, testing and operational readiness.
• Ensure customer success through best‑practice guidance and long‑term security strategy development.
• Partner cross‑functionally to review integration efficiency and maintain high‑quality service delivery.
• Collaborate with account teams to evaluate requirements, set expectations and deliver best‑in‑class solutions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Experience managing complex projects and serving as the main customer contact during integration.
• Strong written and verbal communication and facilitation abilities.
• Demonstrated passion for excellence, sound judgment and contingency planning.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of IP networks, DNS, routing, and networking technologies.
• Understanding of HTTP, TCP and web architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with Prolexic DDoS mitigation services.
