Security Application Engineer I (Entry Level)

About the role

Johnson Controls is seeking a Security Application Engineer I to support its Sales and Engineering teams on both pre‑sales and post‑sales projects. The role focuses on technical activities such as takeoffs, drawing production, bill of materials creation, and design for fire alarm and security systems.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with Request for Proposals by performing takeoffs, generating bills of material, and supporting pricing activities.
• Create pre‑design, shop, submittal, and As‑Built drawings based on client standards after site surveys.
• Develop post‑sales design drawings and complete engineering packages.
• Provide technical support to internal and external engineering teams on medium to high‑complexity projects.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (0‑1 year experience) in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics or Electromechanical Engineering.
• Intermediate proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Business‑level English (B2 or higher) and strong professional communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn fire‑alarm system design codes and related equipment.

Required skills
