Risk Specialist – Executive Escalations

About the role

We are seeking a Risk Specialist to join the Executive Escalations team within Amazon’s Buyer Risk Prevention (BRP) organization. The role focuses on investigating high‑risk transactions, providing root‑cause analysis for senior leadership, and driving continuous improvement to protect customers and the marketplace.

Key responsibilities

• Independently assess and authenticate customer behavior and transactions across multiple geographies.
• Prepare detailed write‑ups, root‑cause analyses, and executive‑level reports on escalated fraud cases.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional business teams to communicate findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and document SOPs, best‑practice guides, and tools that streamline decision‑making.
• Monitor metrics, diagnose underlying issues, and implement solutions to improve risk detection.
• Present daily/weekly updates to senior management and hold stakeholders accountable for action plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fraud investigation or risk analysis within a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of influencing senior leaders.
• Self‑motivated, able to work with minimal supervision and take full ownership of issues.
