Resident Engineer – On-site in Santa Teresa

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Resident Engineer to lead daily reporting and documentation for a high‑end luxury hospitality project in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica. The role requires on‑site presence, close collaboration with site engineers, and the ability to ensure all project data is accurate and up‑to‑date.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and enter daily report data (weather, personnel, equipment, work completed, materials, inspections, safety issues) into the project software.
• Organize and maintain technical documentation, project plans, RFIs, CVIs, non‑conformance reports, and HSE notices.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety standards, and company procedures.
• Support the Site Engineer by attending high‑level meetings and contributing to strategic decisions when needed.
• Track inspections, corrective actions, and variations to guarantee operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• 3–5 years of experience in construction site roles such as Inspector, Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or Site Supervisor.
• Strong knowledge of Costa Rican building codes and construction practices.
• Fluent English for communication with international management.

Required skills

• Proficiency with construction software (Procore is a plus).
• Ability to manage and organize extensive project documentation.
• English language proficiency.
