Remote Controller – US Time Zones (Philippines/Latin America)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Controller to manage the day‑to‑day financial operations of a nonprofit organization. The role is fully remote, supporting US‑based teams while working on a graveyard shift from the Philippines or Latin America.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and payroll oversight.
• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements, budget‑to‑actual reports and financial analyses for leadership and the Board.
• Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships and maintain strong internal controls and compliance procedures.
• Lead audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors, accountants and regulatory agencies.
• Support financial planning, process improvements and documentation of accounting policies.
• Assist the client with additional tasks aligned with business objectives.

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting, finance or controllership experience.
• Experience in nonprofit, healthcare or behavioral health environments is highly preferred.
• Available to work US time zones (graveyard shift) and start within two weeks.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with accounting systems; NetSuite experience is a strong plus.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, audit preparation, cash‑flow management and internal controls.
