QA Software Engineer

About the role

Cargill is seeking a QA Software Engineer to join its global technology team. You will work closely with product owners, developers, and other QA professionals in an Agile environment to ensure high‑quality software releases that meet business requirements and user expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, execute, and document manual test cases based on product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Develop, maintain, and run automated test scripts for regression, integration, and end‑to‑end testing.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, and QA team members to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and verification.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, test coverage, and automation practices.
• Maintain clear test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for moderately complex issues in deployed applications.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 + years of hands‑on experience in software quality assurance, including both manual testing and test automation.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing techniques, and the software development lifecycle.

Required skills

• Experience with Cypress or similar test automation frameworks.
• API testing experience, preferably with RESTful services.
• Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and troubleshooting.
