QA Automation Engineer – Remote (Playwright, TypeScript)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to design and implement automation solutions using Playwright with TypeScript. You will define test strategies, collaborate with developers and product owners, and ensure the highest quality standards across our delivery pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust automated test suites with Playwright and TypeScript for end‑to‑end, functional, and regression testing.
• Define and own test strategies, test plans, and automation coverage frameworks for assigned programs.
• Execute manual testing for complex scenarios that require human judgment.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and enforce quality gates.
• Write Python scripts to support automation tooling, data setup, and test utilities.
• Lead code reviews for automation scripts and enforce engineering standards.
• Mentor junior QA engineers on automation patterns, test design, and debugging.
• Collaborate with developers and architects to improve testability and shift‑left quality.
• Identify quality risks, communicate blockers, and drive timely resolution.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience in test automation, preferably at a senior level.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work autonomously.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
