Professional Services Consultant

About the role

FreeBalance is seeking a Professional Services Consultant to join its San Jose team. You will work directly with government clients to implement and support the FreeBalance Accountability Suite and related public‑financial‑management solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and deploy FreeBalance solutions following the ISO 9001:2015 certified methodology.
• Conduct detailed business‑requirements reviews, create storyboards, and obtain client sign‑off.
• Configure and demonstrate software to map client processes to the solution.
• Develop and execute acceptance test plans with clients.
• Prepare training materials and deliver product and “Train‑the‑Trainer” sessions.
• Gather financial and payroll system requirements and configure solutions accordingly.
• Transfer knowledge to client teams and ensure correct use of the solution.
• Provide functional feedback to product management and report progress to the Project Manager.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
• Professional financial/accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of public‑sector financial management.
• 10 years of information‑systems experience, including 5 years of ERP implementation.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
