Production Support Engineer (Oracle / SQL)

About the role

The Production Support Engineer will monitor and support business‑critical applications for the US region, ensuring high availability and compliance with SLA targets. The role combines proactive monitoring, incident management, and hands‑on troubleshooting across Oracle databases, SQL, Linux, and related tooling.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 production support and monitoring for mission‑critical applications.
• Investigate and resolve incidents quickly to minimise downtime and meet SLA commitments.
• Perform log analysis and create Splunk dashboards and alerts for proactive monitoring.
• Write and execute Oracle DDL/DML queries, using joins, aggregates and CASE statements to diagnose data issues.
• Analyse Linux server logs, review code in GitHub, and support deployments via Jenkins.
• Follow ITIL processes for Incident, Problem and Change management, documenting root‑cause analysis and resolutions.

Required profile

• 3–8 years of production/application support experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Oracle Database and strong hands‑on SQL skills.
• Experience supporting Linux‑based applications and using monitoring tools such as Splunk.
• Familiarity with GitHub for code review, Jenkins for deployments, and ITIL incident/problem/change processes.
