Product Master Data Transformation Engineer

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring a Product Master Data Transformation Engineer in Heredia, Costa Rica, working onsite at an HPE office. The role supports daily Product Master Data operations within HPE's Product and Services Data Operations (PSDO) organization, keeping data accurate and consistent across SAP S/4HANA, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and legacy systems. It covers data maintenance, order fallout resolution, data governance and process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Create, maintain and update product master data in SAP S/4HANA, PLM and legacy systems, including Material Master, BOM and Variant Configuration
• Resolve product master data issues affecting order processing and investigate order fallouts to limit revenue loss and delays
• Validate data quality, run reconciliation and quality checks, and follow data governance policies
• Maintain process documentation aligned with ISO 9000 and track operational issues and escalations
• Develop operational reports, dashboards and metrics, and prepare training materials
• Support process standardization, automation and AI-enabled tools, and take part in Kaizen, Lean Six Sigma and testing of new tools

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Typically 4-6 years of experience in product master data, SAP Material Master, PLM or related enterprise data management
• Hands-on SAP S/4HANA experience (Material Master, BOM, Variant Configuration) and PLM experience
• Advanced written and spoken English

Required skills

• Root cause analysis and corrective actions for data quality
• Data governance, process documentation and quality control
• Preferred: familiarity with HPE internal systems, legacy platforms and PSDO processes
• Preferred: SQL, Power BI or similar reporting tools, and AI tools
