Procurement Engineer 3 – Strategic Sourcing Lead

About the role

As a Procurement Engineer 3 you will lead a strategic, data‑driven approach to product stewardship, focusing on risk management, value creation and overall procurement strategy for the IGT team.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive product roadmaps to support BOM cost reduction, component risk mitigation, and overall procurement strategy.
• Lead supplier selection and make‑or‑buy decisions aligned with category strategy to maximize supplier performance.
• Partner with sustaining teams to develop business cases and project proposals for supplier changes.
• Manage end‑to‑end supplier transitions, including specifications, agreements, implementation, capacity planning and IT/system updates.
• Provide procurement support and represent the site in cross‑functional teams and external negotiations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, materials, finance or a related technical field.
• 5–9 years of relevant experience, preferably in the medical device industry.
• Proven track record of continuous improvement and cost optimization through vendor collaboration.
• Experience in sustaining engineering with a focus on component de‑risking and strategic sourcing.
• Fluent English communication skills.
