Planview Administrator/UAT Specialist

About the role

The UAT, Testing & Planview Administration Specialist will own the planning, coordination, execution, and reporting of user acceptance testing for releases while progressively taking on Planview AdaptiveWork administration responsibilities. This role ensures that system changes, integrations, and enhancements are validated against business requirements before release and supports the adoption of Planview as a reliable enterprise delivery platform.

Key responsibilities

• Define UAT scope, objectives, schedules, entry and exit criteria for each release.
• Translate requirements, defects, and enhancements into detailed test scenarios and scripts.
• Coordinate UAT preparation, including tester readiness, test data, environment access, and communication.
• Facilitate UAT sessions with business users, capture issues, and guide testers.
• Track test execution progress, manage defect logs, retesting, and risk mitigation.
• Partner with system administrators, developers, finance, and business SMEs to triage issues and validate fixes.
• Develop and maintain Planview AdaptiveWork configuration, user access, workflow governance, and reporting as expertise grows.

Required profile

• Experience with Planview AdaptiveWork or similar enterprise project and portfolio management platforms.
• Proven experience coordinating UAT, QA, release validation, or system implementation activities.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into clear test scenarios and step‑by‑step scripts.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple testing cycles, issue logs, deadlines, and cross‑functional dependencies.
• Comfort working with technical teams, business users, system administrators, and external partners.
• Attention to detail with the capability to distinguish defects, configuration issues, training needs, and enhancement requests.
