Planning Analyst

About the role

Prysmian is seeking a Planning Analyst for its plant in Heredia, Costa Rica. Reporting to the S&OP Coordinator, the analyst will handle administrative and follow‑up tasks related to intercompany planning, support local production planning, and monitor raw material availability.

Key responsibilities

• Track intercompany orders with external manufacturing plants, ensuring visibility of order status, production progress, lead times, shipment plans and expected arrivals.
• Coordinate with Sales, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics and intercompany plants to guarantee product availability according to demand and inventory needs.
• Maintain and verify planning data on intercompany supply, open purchase orders, expected arrivals and inventory coverage.
• Adjust monthly volume forecasts based on intercompany supply, customer demand, inventory levels and local plant requirements.
• Support local production planning by sharing priority visibility, material availability and potential risks.
• Assist raw material follow‑up, identifying shortages, delays or deviations that could affect production continuity.
• Provide logistics execution team with visibility of intercompany arrivals, finished‑goods availability and customer requirements.
• Identify and escalate risks related to intercompany supply, raw materials, inventory or production support.
• Prepare reports on intercompany planning, production support, raw materials, inventory and service level.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in planning and analysis within Supply Chain or Operations.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
• Results‑driven mindset focused on improving cycle times, service and inventory turns.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Power BI.
• Familiarity with SAP (desirable).
• Solid experience with databases and digital systems.
