Payroll Tax Specialist (Bilingual)

About the role

We are looking for a bilingual Payroll Tax Specialist to oversee tax compliance across multiple states and entities on a pay‑period basis. You will act as the subject‑matter expert for payroll tax filings, reporting, and reconciliation, partnering closely with finance, HRIS, and external tax vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, reconcile and support overall payroll tax compliance after each pay period.
• Prepare and review statutory tax filings (e.g., 941s, W‑2s) and related notices.
• Collaborate with Finance on payroll tax accruals, journal entries, and general‑ledger reconciliations.
• Maintain payroll‑related tax accounts within third‑party tax vendor platforms.
• Perform internal audits of payroll tax data and support external audit requests.
• Stay current on legislative changes, tax equalization rules, and local payroll controls.
• Develop and maintain specialized tax reports and forms in the vendor system.
• Assist Payroll Managers in resolving tax exceptions and address employee address audits for correct withholdings.
• Represent the Payroll Tax team on special projects and research initiatives.

Required profile

• Bilingual proficiency (English + another language).
• Experience in multi‑state, multi‑entity payroll tax compliance.
• FPC or CPP designation preferred.
• Strong collaboration skills with Finance, HRIS, and external vendors.
• Ability to conduct internal audits and support external auditors.
