Payroll Sr. Associate - French

About the role

This position supports the company’s mission by ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, allowing teams to focus on delivering breakthrough therapies worldwide. The role requires fluency in French, English and Spanish and a strong grasp of Canadian payroll regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Process payroll for assigned business units while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws.
• Identify, investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.
• Provide payroll‑related support and answer inquiries from employees.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve payroll processes and systems.
• Prepare and maintain accurate payroll records, reports and audit documentation.
• Participate in internal and external payroll audits.
• Contribute to moderately complex projects, managing time and short‑term work plans.
• Occasionally mentor colleagues and review their work.

Required profile

• BA/BS with at least 2 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven experience with Canadian payroll, including legislation, statutory deductions and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state/provincial and local payroll laws.
• Excellent numerical, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Professional written and verbal communication in French, English and Spanish.

Required skills

• Payroll software (e.g., Workday or similar HRIS).
• Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office Suite.
• Use of AI tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot for problem solving.
