Payroll Country Champion – Costa Rica

About the role

Strada is looking for a Payroll Country Champion to lead payroll compliance and product strategy for Costa Rica. You will act as the central expert on local payroll legislation, ensuring the Strada Pay solution meets regulatory standards while shaping its future development.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the go‑to payroll expert for Costa Rica, maintaining deep knowledge of local legislation, tax laws, and compliance standards.
• Monitor upcoming regulatory changes through the Compliance Alerts team, industry associations, and government updates.
• Partner with Product Development to influence the roadmap and keep country‑specific functionality current.
• Maintain and update country workbooks with new legislative requirements.
• Analyze existing payroll procedures and recommend improvements to reduce inefficiencies and manual work.
• Drive enhancements to Strada Pay’s functionality, cost‑effectiveness, and user experience for the local market.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for methodology, delivery approach, templates, and standards.
• Provide expertise to project teams during client deployments and act as gatekeeper for customization requests.
• Support pre‑sales activities by showcasing Strada Pay capabilities and sharing best practices.
• Collaborate with the global Country Champion network to share knowledge and ensure alignment.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in payroll or HR outsourcing.
• Deep knowledge of payroll processes, regulations, and compliance requirements in Costa Rica.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
