Payroll Coordinator

About the role

The Payroll Coordinator ensures accurate and timely transfer of payroll data from internal systems and external vendors to ADP Comprehensive Outsourcing Services (COS). Working closely with HR, HRIS, and ADP teams, the coordinator supports the full payroll cycle, from data collection to post‑processing reconciliation.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, prepare, and export pay data files to ADP according to the production schedule.
• Perform detailed pre‑payroll audits of Workday data, including new hires, terminations, job changes, compensation updates, and one‑time payments.
• Validate data flowing through the integration bridge, identify discrepancies, and partner with HR/HRIS to resolve them before payroll runs.
• Create and maintain audit logs and documentation for data validation controls.
• Review employee time submissions, enter payroll‑related data into Lyric when needed, and ensure internal controls on master records.
• Coordinate tax IDs and use ADP SmartCompliance for direct deposit reversals, garnishments, and other transactions.
• Serve as the operational liaison with the ADP COS payroll service team and other vendors.
• Research, investigate, and report payroll issues, submit adjustments, and track inquiries through vendor processes.
• Monitor payroll cycles, follow up on open items, and participate in operational calls.
• Provide post‑transmission support, review preliminary ADP outputs, assist with reconciliations, variance analysis, and resolve discrepancies.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform data audits.
• Experience working with payroll systems and vendor‑managed payroll services.
• Ability to collaborate with HR, HRIS, and external vendors to resolve issues.
• Proactive communication and escalation skills.
