Part‑Time Airport Agent – San José (SJO)

About the role

American Airlines is looking for a part‑time Airport Agent to join its team at San José International Airport (SJO). You will be the first point of contact for passengers and flight crews, providing essential information and ensuring a smooth travel experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform security screening and passenger service procedures at check‑in and gate areas.
• Assist passengers with inquiries, special requests, and travel documentation.
• Process reservations, issue tickets, and manage check‑in while complying with all security and documentation rules.
• Check baggage, calculate excess‑baggage charges, and communicate fees to passengers.
• Lift and carry bags or boxes weighing up to 70 lb and stand for prolonged periods.

Required profile

• High school diploma.
• Working knowledge of the Sabre reservation system.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends.
• Excellent customer service, communication and organizational abilities.
• Professional grooming in line with company standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and as a proactive team player.
• Fluent in English and the native language (Spanish).
